Our Story

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Idaho was founded in 2022 to meet a growing need in the Pocatello–Chubbuck area: a safe, positive, and enriching place for kids to go after school and during the summer.

A Timeline of Growth

Our Beginning

We opened our first Club at Syringa Elementary, welcoming 37 members into our inaugural after-school program.

Growth & Summer Learning

We proudly served over 100 youth, offering our first summer programs focused on creativity, academics, and leadership.

2023

Expansion & Impact

Building on early success, we launched a second site at Indian Hills Elementary, extending our reach to even more families.

Today & Beyond

Now a fully operational organization, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Idaho continues to expand programs, train staff, and strengthen our community partnerships to serve youth ages 5–18 for years to come.

Our Sponsors & Community Partners

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Idaho are proud to partner with organizations and businesses that share our mission of empowering local youth.

Our start was supported by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Magic Valley, whose early guidance helped us establish a strong foundation of safety and quality programming. Today, we operate independently — strengthened by the ongoing support of generous community sponsors such as Idaho Central Credit Union, Portneuf Medical Center, and other local partners who make our work possible.

Together, we’re building great futures for Southeast Idaho youth.

Why Pocatello & Chubbuck Needs Us

  • 1 in 5 kids in America has nowhere to go after school
  • 3 in 10 children are overweight or obese
  • 43 million youth lack access to summer learning programs

In our community, the need for structured, supportive after-school care is greater than ever. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Idaho offers that critical bridge, keeping kids safe, supported, and inspired.

“My son has formed new friendships and progressed academically beyond what we could have achieved at home.”

Member Spotlight

“I like going to the Club because the staff are nice, and I have a lot of friends here. We get to do fun things and learn new stuff. They helped me through rough times when my mom passed away and were very kind to me.”
